Sakura Watch May 8, 2020 - Watch the City of Toronto's 2020 Virtual Tour: Nature in High Park during the cherry blossom bloom. Even though High Park continues to remain to be closed for public safety reasons in an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, nature finds it’s own way to continue on. Enjoy watching the second virtual walk tour video put together by the City of Toronto highlighting the variety of wildlife that is thriving during the current peak bloom in High Park.

Watch the YouTube walking tour below:

2020 Peak Bloom and Live Tour

In 2020, the peak bloom that started May 3 and will continue through to May 9. The cooler temperatures should help them continue right through this upcoming Mother’s Day weekend, and last into next week. But remember, we all need to keep enjoying the #BloomAtHome help keep everyone safe.

Since the park is closed to myself and anyone else wanting a personal look at the cherry blossoms, we will have to rely on the BloomCam and virtual updates from the City of Toronto for more on their status in the days ahead.

Other live virtual events have been played on the City of Toronto’s Instagram and YouTube page, with repeats of the shows posted for those who may have missed them. See yesterday’s update about the Live Tour (see below) with the High Park Nature Centre staff to see an example of that.
